6.9 Access To Facilities

Purpose: To specify policy with regard to accessing facilities at Normandale Community College.
Part 1: Campus Operating Hours
Subpart A: Normal Campus Operating Hours
- Monday through Thursday: 6:30AM – 10:00PM
- Saturdays & Sundays: Closed
Subpart B: Changes in Operating Hours
- The Executive Cabinet has the authority to change operating hours without prior notice.

Variances to campus hours may be made to accommodate special needs identified by the campus and determined by the Executive Cabinet.
- Changes in the Academic Calendar may impact regular campus hours such as breaks, holidays, staff development days and others. Normally,
during summer term, the campus is closed to the public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Subpart C: Request Building Use Outside of Operating Hours
Programs or Departments may submit a variance request to normal campus hours for special events. Variances should be submitted
to the requestors applicable Executive Cabinet member and Variances should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the requested change.
Part 2: Authorized Access
Subpart A: Faculty, staff, students, and guests may access campus buildings during campus operating hours.
Subpart B:Faculty and Staff are authorized to use their electronic access credentials to access campus outside of normal operating hours. Staff
must have prior authorization from their supervisor to access campus building outside of normal operating hours. Students are not issued
electronic access credentials and therefore are not authorized to access campus outside of normal operating hours..
