Purpose: To help students progress through program completion in the most time- and cost-efficient manner.
Part 1: Definitions
- Repeated course. Any course enrollment after it was previously completed with a grade of A, B, C, D, F, FN, FW, I, P, NC, NA, NW or AU.
- Course repeatable for credit. Any course for which a student can earn credit more than one time.
- Course not repeatable for credit. Any course for which a student can earn credit only one time.
- Special student populations. Any population of students who, by statute, are subject to repeat regulations in addition to the standard college policy.
- Financial aid recipients. Students who receive public and private educational grants and loans.
- PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Option) students. Any student enrolled through the Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program, the Concurrent Enrollment Program or formal High School Agreement.
- Senior Citizens. Minnesota residents aged 62 or older on day one of the semester who enroll in courses at a reduced tuition rate.
- Veterans, service members and dependents. Current or former service members, or their dependents or survivors who receive VA education benefits or funding through the US Department of Defense.
Part 2: Course repeats
For each course, the college will establish repeat procedures which may vary by student population.
