The certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management is designed for tourism professionals and career changers who want to advance their careers and take advantage of the increasing opportunities in the tourism industry.
The curriculum will introduce students to the ever-expanding tourism industry, emphasize the importance of sustainable tourism practices, and provide practical industry experience. The program will assist students in developing communications skills needed to lead and manage a successful tourism business towards profitability, while preserving the local environment and society for future generations.
Graduates of the certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management possess the competencies to enter the tourism industry as an entry-level manager.
The certificate in Sustainable Tourism Management may be completed by students working towards an AAS in Hospitality & Tourism Management, AAS in Business Management, and/or an AS in Business Transfer Pathway.
