Food and Beverage Management Certificate

The certificate in Food and Beverage Management is designed for food and beverage professionals and career changers who want to take advantage of the increasing opportunities in the food and beverage sector of tourism.
The curriculum will introduce students to the ever-expanding tourism industry, emphasize the operations of a food and beverage business, and provide practical industry experience. The program will assist students in developing communications skills needed to lead and manage a successful food and beverage business towards profitability.
Graduates of the certificate in Food and Beverage Management possess the competencies to enter the food and beverage sector as an entry-level manager.
The certificate in Food and Beverage Management may be completed by students working towards an AAS in Hospitality and Tourism Management, AAS in Business Management, and/or an AS in Business Transfer Pathway.

- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 for college-level coursework (courses numbered 1000 and above) completed at Normandale.
- Earn at least one third of the required certificate credits from Normandale.
