Business Management (AAS)

The Business Management AAS degree provides a broad foundation in business principles for those seeking immediate employment after graduation or who wish to gain additional skills for advancement opportunities within their chosen area of specialization. The program provides a combination of core business concepts with supporting general education classes that provide students with critical thinking and fundamental business skills. These skills are appropriate for positions in supervision, management, marketing, sales, service industries, or small business management.

Note: The department recommends students complete a specialization that when combined with the required core BUSN courses, leads to the award of a marketable business certificate. Accomplishment of the core BUSN courses fulfill the requirements of the Management Certificate and students may apply for certificate graduation award upon completion of the BUSN core. Students may choose an additional specialization certificate listed below or complete any additional Business Electives to meet the minimum elective requirement.

Other Degree Requirements

- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 for college-level coursework (courses numbered 1000 and above) completed at Normandale.
- Earn a minimum of 15 college-level credits at Normandale.
