7.2.2 Refunds Procedure

Purpose: To fulfill Board Policy and procedure with regard to refunds for tuition and fees.

Part 1: Conditions under Which Refunds May be Granted

Subpart A: Course(s) drop completed by the student within the first week of the semester.

Subpart B: Total withdrawal from all courses by the student within the first four weeks of the semester.

Part 2: Refund Schedule

Subpart A: Semesters

Prior to the first day of the semester 100%
During first five days of the semester 100%
During the second week of the semester (total withdrawal only) 75%
During the third week of the semester (total withdrawal only) 50%
During the fourth week of the semester (total withdrawal only) 25%
After the fourth week (total withdrawal only) No refund

Subpart B: Evening, Weekend and Summer Sessions

Refunds are granted for dropped evening and weekend classes according to the schedule below or for drops that occur within 24 hours of the first class meeting, whichever is later.

For summer terms and other classes that meet less than full semester, refund schedules are more strict. Please see the printed class schedule for more details.

Part 2: Appeals

Subpart A: Under extenuating circumstances related to illness, personal matters, or employment, refunds outside of the parameters outlined above may be allowed.

Subpart B: Appeals to the established refund policy, including drops initiated after the established drop/add period, are approved by the Registrar or by designated administrators.
