Purpose: To help achieve and ensure the efficient operation of the college while maintaining fiscal and policy integrity
Part 1: Delegation of authority is the formal conveyance from one person to another of the authority to bind the college to a legally enforceable obligation; therefore, any such transfer of powers and duties are significant actions requiring great care and scrutiny.
Subpart A: The President is accountable, through the legal authority of the Minnesota State Board of Trustees, for assuring proper delegation of authority to employees.
Subpart B: Delegation of authority requires ongoing compliance with applicable statutes, rules and board policies.
Subpart C: A delegation of authority shall be commensurate with the employee's role within the organization.
