DENH 2266 General and Oral Pathology
Recognizing the signs of system disease, oral disease, and oral cancer are important aspects of disease prevention and management of health. The observation and description of oral lesions is paramount in the recognition and referral for oral cancer. Students learn the etiology, histology, clinical signs and symptoms associated with oral disease and systemic disease intersections. An understanding of the diagnostic process guides the dental professional and the patient in making informed health decisions.
