PSYC 1140 Psychology of Gender
What shapes our understanding of gender—our biology, psychology, or the world around us? This course explores how all three interact to influence gender identity, roles, and experiences. You will examine how gender is socialized from childhood, how it develops over time, and how it intersects with other identities like race, sexuality, and socioeconomic status. Through real-world applications and psychological research insights, you will also explore how groups differences related to gender have influenced health, relationship, and societal policies and reactions in the United States.
